Granular Chlorine 458
Formula 458 Granular Chlorine is a fast acting, unstabilised chlorine used to sanitise pool water. Formula 458 Granular Chlorine is used as a maintenance treatment as well as for regular shock treatment.

DOSAGE: (use only as directed)
For the best result ensure that the pH of the water is between 7.2 and 7.6
The cup provided holds 250g.
Before adding Formula 458 Granular Chlorine stabilise your pool water at the dosage rate of 400 g of Chlor Guard per 10 000L of water, if necessary. This will prevent chlorine residuals being destroyed by the sun.
Initial dosage: Shock treat the pool.
Shock treatment: For optimal water quality, the pool water should be shock treated every fortnight, or as required. Shock treatment is also required when there are heavy bather loads, thunderstorms, evidence of algae, or poor water quality. Use 100 g per 10 000L of pool water. Test the chlorine levels after 2 hours. Repeat this dosage until you reach a chlorine level of 1-3 ppm. Do not enter pool until chlorine residual dissipates to 4 ppm or less.
Maintenance Dosage: 50 g per 10 000L of pool water daily or as often as needed to maintain a chlorine residual of 1-3 ppm. The amount of chlorine needed, and the frequency of dosage varies according to individual pool conditions. Run the pump for at least 12 hours per day in summer.
